Finals started with the grand entry of Derek O Brien, current MP. He explained a little bit brief on the history of Brand Equity Quiz which started its appearance in the year 1990, thereby entering the 20th year this time. He first introduced the first four teams which were Crisil, Cognizant,Infosys, Sanmar, and TCS. Thus totally six teams made it to stage. Derek gave the gift prizes to the 7thseeded TS Mahalingam & Sons and 8th seeded Infosys.
The finals started with first round which was tilted as ‘Yeh hi hai Right choice baby’
In that round three options A, B, C were given to select an answer for a question. The left of three options there were small pics of closed pepsi bottles. If a glass break sound was heard, then the answer was wrong. If a bottle open sound was heard, then the given answer was correct.

Round 4:
This was the most important round in buzzer must have been used but Derek forgot it and used it as a normal one unlike previous years.

Round 5 five was the superb round, as it was the very final to select a winner. More over, it contained audio and video. Most importantly, it was a buzzer round. The title of the round was ‘Dodh ki sa fedi nirma se ayt rangeen kapra bhi jhilmil jaye’

At the end of this question, Infosys left their seat to placed at sixth position. They were further followed by Global scholars who finished at fifth position. Below question were cryptic based ones asked to select the winner as four teams were tied with same points.

Thus the quiz finally ended with Sanmar finishing at 4th place. 3rd and 2rd were taken by CTS and TCS respectively. Crisil took the first prize and became the first team to qualify for national finals.
